TRANSITION - WELCOME YEAR 6

Welcome to Queen Elizabeth’s - your new school!

We would like to welcome you to what will hopefully be the start of a wonderful period of your lives. We are so pleased that you have chosen to begin this new chapter of your education with us.

A very warm welcome from Mrs Percy - SENCo & Head of Key Stage 3. I oversee the transition process at Queen Elizabeth’s and I am very much looking forward to meeting you.

The transition process begins in April when the Key Stage 3 team will be visiting your primary schools and learning about all the amazing things you have been doing. The new Year 7 Induction Evening for Parents will take place on Tuesday 25th June, followed by Transition Day which is on Thursday 4th July. 

When Year 7’s officially start with us in September they have the whole school to themselves to help them settle in.

We ask all New Year 7’s to complete the Transition Portfolio. This enables the 6 form tutors in Year 7 the opportunity to learn about their tutees but also highlight any concerns that students may have regarding joining us in September.
