At A level students will study for the Edexcel examination.

 

The course comprises 3 papers, as follows:

 

Component 1 UK Politics

 

  • Political Participation (you will study Democracy, Political Parties, Elections, Voting behaviour and Media Representation)
  • Core ideas (Liberalism, Conservatism and Socialism)

 

Component 2 UK Government

 

  • UK Government (You will study the UK Constitution, PM and Cabinet, Parliament and the Judiciary)
  • Optional ideas (choose one from anarchism, ecologism, feminism, multiculturalism and nationalism)

 

Component 3 Comparative Politics

 

  • Global Politics
