Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School closed to all students on Monday 23rd March 2020 with the exception of vulnerable and key worker children. The school reopened to our current year 13 students in September 2020 for the new academic year. This year group commenced a period of self-isolation on 25th November 2020, however, prior to their expected date of return the school closed to all students on Tuesday 8th December 2020. The school then re-opened to all year groups on Wednesday 10th March 2021 for face to face lessons.

During the periods of school closure, remote learning provision was made via Google Classroom, a remote learning platform. This involved a combination of live lessons using Google Meet, videos and the uploading of assignments and other tasks. Students were able to complete and submit work, for assessment, over the Google Classroom platform.

The Year 12 end of year examinations, which inform predicted grades took place in the summer term.

By necessity, students have received limited advice on the UCAS application process.
